Patricia Ann Seifert's Obituary
Patricia Ann Seifert, 55 passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in Banning, California after having been in a coma since October 2001. Patricia was born to Anthony J. Gaspie of Massachusetts and to Margaret L. Gaspie of the Azores on November 11, 1946 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She has been a resident of San Diego, California for the past 16 years and formerly of Castro Valley, California and San Ramon, California. She was an Office Manager for automobile dealerships for 30 years. She was employed with Midway Jeep-Chrysler in San Diego for the last 14 years, where she enjoyed her job the most. Patricia was raised in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Hayward. She sang and played the piano in church in her early years. She loved jazz and classical music. Some of her most favorite things to do in life were; cooking, baking, watching Emeril Live Cooking Show, traveling, singing, playing the piano, and she loved to help others. She was an avid beanie baby collector. She will be missed by so many, she touched the lives of everyone she met, and she was a great person. She was a very brave lady, who was willing to try new adventures.Her father, Anthony J. Gaspie and a stepbrother, Arthur Branco, preceded Patricia in death. Her beloved mother, Margaret B. Silva of San Lorenzo, California, survives Patricia. She leaves behind her dear brother, Michael Gaspie of San Lorenzo, California. Her loving stepsisters, Priscilla Peters of Truckey, Nevada and Rebecca Lopez of Albuquerque, New Mexico, survive her. Patricia also leaves behind her stepbrother, Albert Silva of Union City, California. Patricia also leaves behind her companion of 14 years, John DeWald of San Diego, California; he was her high school sweetheart who swept her off her feet later in life when they were reunited together. She helped raise John's two sons who she loved dearly, Jeremy and Jesse DeWald both of San Diego, California. Patricia also has a very special friend that will truly miss her, Sue Whisler of San Diego, California.
