I miss our calls everyday. We had a routine of checking in with each other everyday.We shared what was going on with our families here and New Orleans and Martyland and Virginia.We called each other sisters from another mother.
LaVerne was my classmate and dear friend. We called each other on a regular basis and I will surely miss our conversations. Whenever she came to Maryland to visit her family, we aways got together for lunch or dinner. I will miss those precious moments. Rest in Heavenly Peace, my friend. I'll remember you always.

I've known Pat (LaVerne) for so many years, and some of my fondest memories are the Simple, joyful moments we shared around her kitchen table with her sister and friends. We sit for hours gossiping, laughing, and telling stories that only got funnier over time. She was thoughtful in a way that stayed with you, never forgot your birthday often creating a card for you that were as funny as they were heartfelt. She will be missed 💕
