Pamfila Fulgencio Gacote's Obituary
Pamfila “Pilang” Fulgencio Gacote passed away on February 8, 2022 with her family by her side.
She was married for 64 years to her devoted husband, Apolinario “Pol” Gacote, who will miss her dearly.
A resident of Union City, CA, she was born in Manila, Philippines, earned her college degree from University of Santo Tomas, got married, and raised 5 wonderful children after a brief teaching work.
Along with her husband, she built a successful poultry farm business and migrated to the US in 2002. She enjoyed her retirement with her kids and grandchildren all residing in Union City. A matriarch of the family, her cooking and baking skills left everyone with a favorite meal or two. She loved spending her time shopping, gardening and reading.
Her children Apolinar Gacote and his wife Maris, Alec Gacote and his wife Malinda, Pamela Gacote-Ahumada and her husband Matt, Cris Gille, and Fides Vizcarra and her husband, Joey along with her grandchildren, Jay, Aldwin, Jake, Paul, Jen, Allison, Aaron, Sam, JR, Allen, and Chloe join in remembering her.
She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends including those from the Philippines and Canada.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 25th at 10am at Our Lady of Rosary in Union City followed immediately by a gravesite service at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward at 11:30am.
