Pamela Diane Reed's Obituary
Pamela Diane Reed was born on September 25, 1955, in Alameda, California. She was the oldest of five children born to Oscar and Dorothy Reed. Pam attended school in Alameda, California until the family move to Union City in 1970. She had just entered high school and would attend and graduate from James Logan High in 1973. Pam accepted Christ in her life in 1972. she was baptized at Palma Ceia Baptist Church under Reverend Charles Bennett. She attended bible study and sang in the choir. Pam gave birth to one son, Leighton Trahan, in November 1979. He was the joy of her life, the apple of her eye, and the sun that never set. Pam loved music and loved to dance. She was an accountant by profession until she became ill and was unable to work due to her diabetes. She wrestled with this disease for 38 years until she departed this life on Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Kaiser Hospital in Hayward, California at 11:00 a.m. Pam was preceded in death by her siblings, Dwayne and Lori Reed. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Leighton Trahan; parents, Oscar and Dorothy Reed; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Everett Wilson; brother, Michael Reed; nephews, Dwayne Reed, II and Michael Reed, II; nieces, Kaniesha Allen, Desiree Reed, and Jazmine Reed; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
