Loving Mom, Nani, Sister & AuntiePalmira was a vibrant and sassy lady. She loved life and was compassionate about helping others. She went by several names: Palmira, Pauline, Paul, Nani, Morena and bacalao.She took pride in her Puerto Rican heritage and always loved to cook. She was a long time resident of Modesto but started out in and around Hayward.Her hobbies included gardening (loved roses), creating flower arrangements, crafts, sewing, going to the casinos, and decorating her home for the holidays. She collected all things butterflies and Betty Boop.She was loved by her family and many friends. She will be deeply missed by all.Her Immediate Family: 2 adult children and 8 grandchildren: Daughter- Maggie Puertas & Husband Jr (Rolando) Puertas Son- Louis M. Rodriguez Jr. & Wife Vanessa Rodriguez Grandchildren-Daniel Salazar, Steven Salazar, Alyssa Salazar, Destiny Rodriguez, Demitri Rodriguez, Dream Rodriguez, Demagio Rodriguez & Diangelo Rodriguez4 sisters and 3 brothers: Sisters-Mercedes Ramos & husband Miguel Ramos, Irma Wiegel & husband Hank Weigel, Mariana Carrillo & husband Frank Carrillo, Ilia Huffmyer & husband Dennis Huffmyer Brothers-Jose (Pepe) Arroyo & wife Margaret Arroyo, Julio Arroyo & wife Linda Arroyo, Passed: Chago Arroyo & wife Jenny ArroyoNieces, nephews and their children are many. The entire “Arroyo” family consists of 80 members.Monetary donations to help cover funeral costs are welcomed.
