Otto Jacob Baumgartner's Obituary
Otto Baumgartner, husband, father, grandfather, and the best of friends to all his friends; passed away at 94 at St. Rose Hospital in Hayward, CA on Saturday, July 11, 2015 surrounded by his family, his daughters, his son, and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Sandra Baumgartner; his daughters Joy Petrie of San Leandro and his baby Renee Carla Baumgartner (Martinez-Stoutt); his only son William (Bill) Baumgartner and his wife Cydney Baumgartner; his grandchildren: Nicole, Brian, Otto Jacob Baumgartner, Jr., Kim, Tammy, Adena Lynne Swindell, Amanda Renee Ripoyla, Andrew James Scharff, and 4 other grandchildren. Otto was born November 9, 1920 in West Germany and in his early teens he was shipped to the United States and self taught the English language and some schooling and a truck driver he drove truck for O.N.C. for 20-30 years and also drove for McCleans Trucking and Delta Trucking and was a Teamster Local 70. He is also an Army Veteran from WWII. His children Joy, Billy, and Renee loved him very much and will always keep cherished moments close to their hearts. On August 28, 2015 there will be a Memorial Service and following he will be placed to rest in his niche at The Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA.
