Oscar E. Rodriguez's Obituary
Oscar E. Rodriguez lived from August 1954 through October 2021. He was born in Batangas, Philippines and emigrated to the United States in the 1980s. Oscar was a father to two daughters and two sons. Known as “Oca” to his family and friends, he exuded joy, humor, and positivity to everyone - he was rarely seen without a smile. He was a beloved family man and friend who had a passion for making everyone around him feel loved, cherished, and welcomed. His hobbies included playing the guitar, singing, tennis, golf, and biking.
Oscar lived a simple life. A nature lover at heart, he loved the outdoors and traveling. From remote places in the Philippines to populated cities in Europe, he had a zest for experiencing different cultures and interacting with various people. He was a man of faith who knew that God had a purpose for him. He was generous, selfless, and believed that a single act of kindness will be returned back by ten fold. He dedicated most of his life prioritizing and providing for his family; the sacrifices he’s made will be part of his lasting legacy.
Oscar E. Rodriguez is survived by his four children and seven siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother. He will be sincerely missed.
The visitation will be held at the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Hayward on October 28, 2021. A private mass at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, funeral service at Chapel of the Chimes Hayward, and reception will follow on October 29, 2021 for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association or perform a random act of kindness.
