Mi querida Tía Alis,
I can vividly remember going up the stairs at your home in San Francisco, where we so often visited and shared so many music filled moments with you. The view from the kitchen window was my favorite. Mi Abuelita la quería mucho, su “vieja” como le decía con carina. Como las admiraba gozando de la vida, fumando su cigarrrito, hablando de los chismes, riéndose y disfrutando la amistad que tenían. When my grandma passed and you came to live in Tracy, you became like a grandmother to me. And when I had children of my own, you became like a great grandmother to them. You didn’t miss a birthday, graduation, or any important moment in our lives these past several years, even if you couldn’t join us, you would always be sure to share your love through my mom… “Tia Alis manda saludes” o “pregunto por ti, Jesús y los niños” my mom would say. Delilah and Zues love you very much… I’m so glad they got to know you. I will treasure the memories we share with you always… from San Francisco, to Tracy…Gracias Tía por siempre estar pendiente de mí y mi familia, gracias por su cariño y gracias por sus oraciones. Im so grateful to have been loved by you and for the love you shared with my family. Descansa en paz Tía… y dele un abrazo de mi parte a mi abuelita <3
