Odelon Vitug castillo's Obituary
Odelon “Oddie” Vitug Castillo passed away on August 26, 2022 in Castro Valley, CA at the age of 65. Though he battled with several medical conditions throughout his adult life, he remained a fighter until the very end, and even to his final hours, was still finding a way to make those around him laugh and smile.
Oddie was born on New Year’s Day 1957 in Cavite City, Philippines. He immigrated to California in the 1980s, and had a successful career in airline cargo handling for over 30 years. Though he loved good food and travel, what he loved most was the simplicity of spending quality time with his family. Most will remember Oddie for his easy-going, thoughtful nature. He was a prankster and loved making others laugh. Undoubtedly, people will always remember how his smile could light up any room.
Oddie will be greatly missed by his wife of 42 years, Rosalie; his sons, Odrin and Ronel; father, Mamerto; his sisters, Membie and Karen; his beloved dog Diggs; and many other friends and family members.
Visitation and memorial services will be held at the Mission Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA on September 17, 2022 from 3-7PM.
