Nov. 14 1995 It was 10PM when my father had a fatal heart attack at home. I needed to be comforted so I called my best friend and said, "Norm. Dad's gone. He had a heart attack tonight". Norm stayed on the phone with me until I was ready to hang up. There were minutes of silence, but he knew I needed a friend so he stayed on the phone with me.

Then in December Norm brought us a beautiful green Christmas tree. He was very kind to us and I really miss my friend especially during the holidays.

It is with a heavy heart that I write these words. Norman had a special relationship with my Dad, Harold Shapiro, Norman’s Uncle. When we were young, our families were forever visiting and celebrating. Those memories will be forever lasting. I am sharing a few family photos from that time.
