Norma Clemens' Obituary
CLEMENS, NORMA KATHYRNNorma passed away on Jan. 4, 2007 at the age of 84. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on Jan 16, 1922. Her family moved to Lebanon, Ind. when she was a child. Norma met her late Husband James “Bud” Clemens there. Bud served in the Army Air Corp. during WWII. Norma worked at the defense factory in Lebanon. She was a “Rosie the Riveter” building 81mm M-56 shells in 1944. She had many memories of those times. She loved “Big Band” music and the dances. In 1970 Bud and Norma moved their family to Hayward , Ca. She was a homemaker and once the boys were grown she went to work for the city of Hayward as a school crossing guard and retired after many years. She always had a smile on her face and was a very loving person. She enjoyed crocheting and sports, and took her politics seriously, she never forgot to vote. She is survived by her son Steve Clemens and daughter-in-law Jerrie of San Leandro, her son Rick Clemens and daughter-in-law Suzanne of Manteca. She had one grandson Douglas Clemens of Murietta, Ga. She had many loving family members and friends who meant the world to her. Family and Friends are invited to a Visitation on Tues. Jan. 9, 2007 5:30 to 8:30 pm. and a funeral service on Wed. Jan. 10th at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, Ca
