Norma Alworth's Obituary
Norma Alworth Mar. 31, 1923 – Sept. 6, 2011 Resident of Walnut Creek, CA. Norma Alworth began her life on March 31, 1923 in Oklee, Minnesota, born to Robert and Winnifred Riel. She passed away peacefully on September 6, 2011 following a brief illness at the age of 88. Inurnment will be at the Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward, CA. Norma was preceded in death by her dear husband, Robert Alworth, brother Ray Riel, sister-in-law, Jane Riel, and brothers-in-law, Ed LaJambe and Norm Sullburg. She is survived by brothers, Al Riel and Wally Riel (Dianne), sisters, Doris LaJambe and Morgan Sullberg and sister-in-law Jeannie Riel as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. A celebration of Norma’s life will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at The Salvation Army Church located at 3950 Clayton Road, Concord, CA. Luncheon to follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to Hospice of the East Bay.
