Noreen Marquez's Obituary
Noreen Flores Marquez, 71, of Union City, California, passed away on July 22, 2019.She was born on August 22, 1947 in San Fernando, La Union, Philippines to Benjamin Flores, Sr and Apolonia Flores. She graduated from Chinese General Hospital School of Nursing in Manila in 1969. She emigrated to the United States in 1970, first to Philadelphia before permanently settling in California in 1978.Noreen worked as a registered nurse for 45 years before retiring from Kaiser Permanente after 35 years of service. She was an active member of the St. Martin de Porres Ministries and devoted much of her time praying and helping others, when not spending time with her loved onesShe is survived by her son, Eric Marquez; daughter and son-in-law, Raychaelle and Rhett Blue; three beautiful granddaughters, Auria, Alyna, and Aurora; sisters, Nellie Tugade, Noemi Nazario, and Nema Lintag; brothers, Nelson Flores, Sr., Benjamin Flores, Jr., and Nino Flores; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and greatnieces and greatnephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Flores, Sr., mother, Apolonia Flores, and brother, Napoleon Flores, Sr.Viewing will be held at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, California on August 4th and 5th from 4:30 to 9:30 in the evening. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fremont, California at 1 o’clock in the afternoon.
