Norberto Rivera Dacumos' Obituary
Norberto R. Dacumos, fondly known as “Noli”, went to heaven on June 1, 2022 at his home in San Leandro, CA with his family by his side.
Born April 21, 1945 in Bamban, Tarlac, Philippines, Noli was the sixth of seven children of Claudio & Alegria Rivera Dacumos, along with brothers Mamerto, Rudolfo, Claudio Jr. and Reynaldo; and sisters Zenaida and Teresita. He immigrated to the United States in 1970 where he met the love of his life, Aurora “Auring” Santos in Oakland, CA. They married on April 6, 1974 at Old Saint Mary’s Church in Oakland, CA. They went on to have two children, Noah in 1975 and Alma in 1976.
Noli was a beloved employee for Bank of America for over 30 years. After their retirements, Noli and Auring often traveled the world, visiting nearly every continent. They also enjoyed going to the casinos, playing bingo and the penny slots. Noli loved fishing and gardening. He was very proud of his endless collections of fishing poles, pictures of his prize catches, and his huge backyard garden. His garage was his sanctuary where he often crafted things at his leisure. Noli was also a big sports fan; following the San Francisco 49ers, Golden State Warriors, Oakland A's and San Francisco Giants; having witnessed all 4 teams win World Championships.
Noli was preceded in death by his parents Claudio & Alegria Dacumos, and his siblings; Rudolfo, Zenaida and Teresita.
Noli is survived by his wife, Aurora, his son Noah Dacumos and his wife Aimee, his daughter Alma Del Rosario and her husband Josef, his grandchildren Justin and Alayna, and his brothers Mamerto, Claudio Jr. and Reynaldo.
Viewing and Vigil will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral home in Hayward, CA on June 23, 2022 at 4:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leander Catholic Church in San Leandro, CA on June 24, 2022 at 10:00am prior to burial at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA.
