Nicomedes Dupaya Relos' Obituary
On December 22, 2023, Nicomedes (Medes) Dupaya Relos,97, of Fremont, CA passed away peacefully.
Medes was born September 5, 1926, to Augustin Relos and Lucia Dupaya. He is the eighth of fourteen children born. He attended high school year at Ateneo de Tuguegarao in Lal-lo, Cagayanfor a couple years and graduated high school at Cosmopolitan Colleges in Santa Cruz, Manila. Thereafter attended college at USC Far Eastern University in Manila where he received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce. From college he started his career at Sun Life Assurance of Canada and later moved to the Philippine Navy as a civilian employee working as an accountant continuing in the states working with Wells Fargo.
Medes was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his best friend Estrella Pasco on May 6, 1960. From the Philippines, he resided on South Van Ness Ave,
San Francisco until 1976, purchased his first and last home at 32728 Shaver Lake, Fremont CA. Medes loved the simple things in life, camping in Yosemite, hislove of fishing since his childhood, and watching the Warriors and the Niners play. His greatest joys were his family and grandchildren whom he loved spending time with.
Medes is survived by his three children: Eileen (Rosie Nebreda), Erwin (Anne Lacourse) and Nancy Relos. Grandchildren; Melissa Relos, Kelly Relos, EJ Relos and Lanz Zabala, Great-grandchildren; Nevaeh Lucas, Anicia Lucas and Vanessa Lucas, Great-great grandchild; Leilani Talavera. He is predeceased by his wife Estrella Pasco Relos and son Robert Riboroso. He will continue to live on in our memories and our hearts. Until we meet again. We love you.
