Remembering IMANicerata L. Olalia December 26,1915-January 2,2017Nicerata L. Olalia aka “Ima” was the second youngest of 8 siblings born to Feliciano Legaspi and Petronila Cortez. She was married to Francisco Olalia for 50 years until he passed in 1992. Ima is survived by her 7 children (Nelson, Nennette, Flor, Raquel, Edward, William & Richard) 31 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.Ima will always be remembered as a loving caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her children remembered her as independent, strong willed, neat and very considerate of others. Ima was smart, accelerated in grade school and had good common sense. She played softball as a young girl and was a big fan of the Oakland A’s and Golden State Warriors. Ima’s grandchildren remember her as a good cook who makes the best pancakes made from scratch, Filipino Hot Chocolate champorado, torta and dinuguan. We are blessed and thankful to have Ima in our lives. We will treasure her memory and hold it dear to our hearts. We love you Ima.
