Nestor Angeles Angeles' Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Nestor Angeles, of Union City, announces his peaceful passing on June 27, 2024, at the age of 85.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Aurora Angeles, his children: Allan Angeles (Maria), Anna Batalao (Napoleon Jr.), Arnel Angeles, and Angel Angeles; grandchildren: Brandon Angeles, Lilliana Batalao, Isabel Angeles, Alicia Batalao; his sister, Lucy Cruz; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Nestor was born in the Philippines as one of nine siblings raised with strong bonds of love and a strong sense of responsibility. After studying civil engineering in the Philippines, he took a chance at expanding his opportunities by enlisting in the United States Navy. Soon after, he married and raised a family in the comfort, love, and respect for family that was his own experience being raised. He and Aurora celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this past February.
Nestor had an engineering mind and a mathematician's love of organizing and computational thinking. He loved to use his hands and would often be building, making or repairing various things to improve the home. He had an artistic eye, a sense of curiosity and adventure, and a poet’s soul. He loved to share his experiences, sharing stories that would effect hilarity, groans of laughter, or frequently both! Above all he taught by example how to live well, honor family, and respect whatever life might offer, all with much humor and love.
