Nenita Martinez Polintan's Obituary
Our beloved Nenita "Nita/NItz" passed peacefully on Tuesday February 18, 2025. Born on November 6,1949 in Cavite City, Philippines, she was the 2nd eldest to the late Napoleon Martinez and Flora Sorita. She is survived by her husband Rolly, daughter Joy, son Mike, grandchildren Maximus, Lance, and Carlene, and siblings Millie, Rene, Jesse, and Beth.
Nenita graduated from Cavite City National High School in 1966 and Philippines Normal College in 1970 with a degree in Elementary Education. She then moved to the United States with husband Rolly in January of 1973. They lived in San Francisco for 6 months, Alameda for 5 years, before settling in Union City in !978. She loved spending time with loved ones, listening to the Beatles, Celine Dion, and Philippine love songs, and playing Mahjong. She was an All Star at her cherished public facing job at Nordstroms, where she retired in 2012 after happily dedicating twenty years. Known for her passion and gift for cooking, she found great joy in hosting and cooking for all.
With an unwavering nurturing dedication to her family and friends, Nenita was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin, and friend, who touched everyone with her sincerity, generosity, kindness, and fun loving spirit. She will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her and her memory and love will live forever in our hearts.
