Awww Telling a story ?
Nathan always carried a copy of the Constitution with him, knew all the presidents, sorry he didn’t get to know the outcome of this election. Descanse en Paz!
I miss you my friend. What a blessing you were in so many lives. Loved your smile and listening to all your stories.
I’ve been friends with Nathaniel for probably 15 years, we met in line for the blues cruise at the Waterfront Blues Festival here in Portland, Nathaniel could and would talk to any and everyone, and virtually EVERYONE liked him and remembered him after only one meeting. My favorite Nathaniel saying: “I’ve been around the world three times, talked to everybody twice”. I think he really had! We spent 4th of July weekend at the festival for 14 years, only missing 2016 and how sorry I am about that now. When he drove truck he memorized all the presidents of the United States and all the states and their capitals and lots of other facts just to keep his mind occupied on those long trips. He was so smart and so interesting. He would regale the room with tall tales of his adventures and never lose a listener, he was so funny. He really really loved the blues and had been to festivals everywhere. When I told my brother Nathaniel had passed he said “oh my God a light just went out, I loved that guy”. We all loved that guy. My heart goes out to Nathaniel’s family, my deepest condolences, and I so wish I could attend the service to meet you. I attached pictures to the photo wall but not sure the captions are visible, our friends Tanya, Connie, and Jef Jaison are a few of the folks pictured with Nathaniel. And me, Sheri Trask, I will miss my brother always.
