I had the privilege of crossing career paths with Nans at NASA Ames. He was at all times a consummate professional: level-headed, thorough, and broad. It is people like Nans that make working at NASA wonderful, and I feel so lucky to have worked with such an incredible person. May the Good Lord grant comfort to you.
You left us too soon Nans. Your legacy will live on in your beautiful family. I’ve always missed the good times in high school journalism and learning about developing half tones and prints from you and Mrs. McKenna. Prayers go out to your family.
Nans and I shared an office for a short period at NASA Ames around 1980. He was easy to like and it was clear even early in his career that he was a good engineer who was on his way to becoming a great engineer. I highly respected his work ? as did everyone else that ever worked with or around him. I’m sure that not only will his engineering skills and project leadership be missed at Ames, but his personality, friendship and overall attitude will as well.
