Nancy Ruth Harley's Obituary
Nancy Ruth Harley, 69, died Saturday morning at her home in the Phoenix Lake Area.Mrs. Harley, a native of Winslow, Arizona, and her husband Charles 'Chuck' Harley, moved to Tuolumne County nine years ago. She was raised in Winslow and San Leandro where she attended high school.Among her many interests were tennis, sewing and crafts. She loved the ocean and enjoyed walking along the beach, as well as cruising.She was trained and worked as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society in the Reach and Recovery Program for women who were diagnosed with breast cancer.In addition to her husband, Mrs. Harley is survived by a son, Mark Harley and daughter-in-law, Janet Harley, of Fremont; three grandsons, David, Stephen and Brian Harley of Fremont: a sister, Margie Reed and a cousin, Jeanne Guyre, of LaPalma, California.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Harley, and her parents, Joseph Edwin Pooler and Lillian Arnold Pooler.A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, Ca.The family prefers that contributions be sent to the Visiting Nurses Association, Hospice of the Sierra, 20100 N.
