Nadine Kathleen Hedrick's Obituary
A LIFE WELL LIVED…OUR MOTHER’S OBITUARY Nadine K. hedrick 92, of San Leandro, passed away peacefully at home on June 4, 2014. Nadine was born in 1922, in Pawnee, Illinois to William Sparks and Mae Payne. Her mom passed away at an early age and her dad remarried to Gladys Colburn. Nadine was raised in Springfield, Illinois where she later on married Carl A. Hedrick on September 8, 1940. His discharge in the Navy brought them to California where they settled. They eventually moved to San Leandro in 1952 where they raised three children. Her surviving family members: daughter Linda and her husband David Stadmiller; son Dennis and his wife Dolly Hedrick; and son Robert and his wife Sandy Hedrick. Grandchildren: Joey and wife Krista Corsenttino; Denelle and Tamie Hedrick; Tori, Steven and Christopher Hedrick. Great Grandchildren: Teresa and Shelby. Sister: Eleanor Brickey and her family. Many friends and relatives will miss Nadine She worked in the post office in San Francisco and was also an Avon Representative. She was a loving housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. She also loved teaching Sunday School at Christ Presbyterian Church in San Leandro, California. She was involved with girl and boy scouts and was an avid Oakland A’s fan. Mom’s favorite Scriptural passage is Psalm 23 and her favorite life verse is John 3:16. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local Children’s Hospital or the Ronald McDonald’s House.
