Myron Blaner's Obituary
Myron “Mike” Blaner, age 89, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease at the Hamner Manor Board and Care Home in Ontario, California on January 22, 2022. Born on November 29, 1932, Mike is survived by his three sons, Rick Blaner, Mike Sheridan and Frankie Sever, and his daughters-in-law Jane Blaner, Tina Sheridan, and grandson John Sheridan. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret (Sheridan) Blaner, son Jack Sheridan, and daughter Doreen Sheridan. Mike was born in High Point, North Carolina and was raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania where he played football and baseball at the local college. He enlisted in the Army and served as a Corporal in the Korean War from which he was Honorably Discharged. Mike moved to California and became a carpenter for Local Union 713. Mike was a dedicated, loving husband and father who always put others before himself. Viewing will be held at Chapel of the Chimes in the Reflection Chapel on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 12:00pm – 1:30pm. Afterward, a service and Military Honors will be held at the Garden of Courage where he will be laid to rest next to his loving wife Margaret.
