Murrie Raymond Clarke's Obituary
Nov. 13, 1919 – May 4, 2008 Resident of San Leandro Went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the age of 88. Ray was born November 13, 1919 in Winfield, Kansas. He was a resident of San Leandro since 1955. Predeceased by wife, LaVon, in 1995. Beloved father to daughters Linda Clarke, Patricia Clarke, and Sharon Clarke of San Leandro, Debbie Trampetti and her husband Tom of Castro Valley. Loving grandfather to Stacey and John Huckaba of Tracy, Rodney and Cathie Shinko of Thousand Oaks, Darcey and Gordon Gibbs of Palo Alto, Brian Boeh of South Saint Paul, MN, Kevin and Kim Boeh of Redmond, WA, Dalton Jiminez of Sacramento, Mike Trampetti of NJ, Charlie Trampetti of Sacramento and Tony Trampetti of Castro Valley. Cherished by great-grandchildren Andrea and Lindsay Huckaba, Spencer and Annika Boeh, and Tyler and Danielle Shinko. Sister Phyllis Whorton of Wichita, KS, and many nieces and nephews survive him. Lucy Ramirez and other friends will remember him dearly. Ray had a passion for flying all his life. He was a Naval aviator serving his country until he retired in 1963, and then continued his aviation career as owner of Bay Air Charter based out of the Hayward Airport until 1995. He was a member of the Silver Eagles. Ray was an avid skeet shooter and hunter, interests he shared with his wife, daughters, and later with his grandsons. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30pm, Friday, May 9, 2008 at the CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA with Graveside Service following.
