Monique Barton's Obituary
Monique Irma (Paly) Barton, a long-time resident of Fremont, CA passed away on Friday December 14, 2018.Monique was born on January 14, 1940 in Ostend, Belgium. At the age of 9 she settled in the San Francisco Bay Area with her parents Eugene and Henriette Paly of Issy Les Moulineaex, Seine France.Monique married her high school sweetheart Ronald Allen Barton in 1959, shortly after graduation from Hayward High School. From this marriage, two children (Denise and Steven) were born. The Barton family spent a lot of time with friends and family enjoyed lots of outdoor activities (travel, camping, waterskiing, boating) through the years. A loving wife and mother, truly dedicated to her family, she remained married to Ronald until his untimely passing in 1979. Thereafter, she began a long lasting career in the automotive production industry until retiring in 2004. Her retirement was a great accomplishment and a well deserved reward for her years of hard work and careful planning. Anyone who knew Monique would describe her as beautiful, kind, a great cook, organized, inspiring, humorous and simply fun to be with. Having a laugh with Monique was truly special! She remained close to her children, as well as being their best friend, up until her final days.Preceding her death were her parents, Eugene and Henriette Paly and her husband Ronald Allen Barton.
