Monico Vistal Tangaan's Obituary
Monico “Nick” Vistal Tangaan, aged 84 of Davis, CA, passed away August 15, 2023.
He was born in Navotas, Rizal, Philippines on May 4, 1939. Nick graduated from Manuel L Quezon University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Nick married Ana Bautista on September 14, 1968 and were married nearly 55 years.
Nick worked for East Bay Municipal Utilities District and the City of Richmond where he retired in 2003.
Nick is survived by his wife Ana, his children Allan (Barbara), Arnold (Marie), Melissa, and Monico Jr (Judith). Nick’s 14 grandchildren include: Jalen, Maya, Ronan (Allan & Barbara), August, Dominic, Mateo, Arnold Jeffrey, Maura (Arnold & Marie), Silas, Oliver, Damaris (Melissa), and Olivia, Calliope, and Monico III (Monico Jr & Judith).
The viewing will be held Thursday, August 31 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with the funeral service held Friday, September 1 from 12:30 to 2:00 PM. Both events will take place at the Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward, CA.
