Molly Lai Si Leung's Obituary
Molly Lai Si Leung, beloved wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 71 on Saturday, August 30th. Molly was born in Hong Kong on September 30, 1953. She attended Hong Kong Baptist University and later came to San Francisco in the 1970s. She married Franklin Sze Yan Leung in 1976 and graduated from Lincoln University in 1978. They moved to Castro Valley in 1990, and together they raised a son and daughter, Andrew and Tiffany. Molly worked as an Eligibility Technician for Alameda County for over 25 years.
Her hobbies included traveling, food, television, and basketball. Molly loved traveling and good food. Las Vegas and Hong Kong were her two favorite places to visit. Shhe enjoyed shopping and fashion in general. She was also an avid television watcher and especially enjoyed police shows and murder mysteries. Finally, Molly became a big basketball fan later in her life. Her favorite team were the Warriors and her favorite player, Steph Curry.
Molly was kind, understanding, and determined. Her job involved helping people from underserved communities and she always remained proud of her work even after retirement. Molly was very understanding even when she disagreed with someone. She was also very determined and preferred to do things a certain way.
Molly will now reunite with her husband, Franklin, her father, Che Ip, her mother, Sang Young, and her sister, Kathy. She is survived by her son and daughter, Andrew and Tiffany, as well as her three brothers, Kai, Evan, and Derek, and her two sisters, Loretta and Winnie, and finally, many nephews and nieces.
