Mohinder Kaur Bajwa's Obituary
Our Beloved mother, Mrs. Mohinder Kaur Bajwa, of Milpitas, CA passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 after a long and difficult battle with dementia. She was almost 89 years old.She was born on August 12, 1927 in Kot Bachana, Pakistan to a well-to-do family of Zaildars. In 1947 she migrated to India and married our father, Sardar Mangal Singh Bajwa. She had two sons (Surinderjeet and Dalbir) and one daughter (Maninder), three grandsons (Sanjeev, Sandeep and Balraj) and four great-granddaughters (Tejal, Jeeya, Guneet and Eeshar Kaur Bajwa). She devoted all her life to spiritual enlightenment and had complete faith in Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji and Dasam Pitah, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. She had Sangat of many Pooran Brahmgiani saints in India but more so with 108 Sant Baba Dalel Singh ji Maharaj. She was an honest, upright, principled, ethical and forthright person who spoke the truth without fear of reprimand or reprisal.A devoted wife and mother, she worked diligently to ensure that her family lived an honorable life per Guru Sahib’s teachings. She was a sweet-spoken lady, remembered and loved by all who met her. She believed in kindness and charity, though abrupt at times but very sensitive to others’ needs.Since 2011, she suffered from dementia and, in the last two years suffered from extensive memory loss, but still she always remembered Waheguru Ji.A strong soul as she was, she used to say “I will never go to hell as my Guru is with me all the times. When I die my Guru will come to take me to his adobe.” Though we are sad that she is gone, we are grateful to Sri Akal Purkh Ji that she left peacefully. During her last moments she was really at peace and when we asked her a day before her last breath if she still remembered Waheguruji, she nodded her head “Yes.” This gesture will remain a source of encouragement for us always.
