Mildred Jennings Paplow a Hayward resident entered into rest Wednesday, August 29, 2001 in Fremont. Born in Chaflin, Kansas on October 22, 1912, she was 88 years of age. Mildred resided in Niles and Castro Valley, 10 years in each. She worked as a Machinist for 25 years at Singer Business Machines in San Leandro. She also worked as a Machinist during WWII a total of 40 years. Her favorite things in life were children and cats. Her nickname from her grandkids was 'Gramma Kitties'. She loved to play games with her grandkids. She would always let them make up their own rules and would always win. Loving mother of Susan Glenn of Union City and James Norman of Pleasanton. Dear sister of Corine Fuller of Kansas, Ruby Dale of Indiana, Marie McKim of Kansas and Robert Jennings of Kansas. Devoted grandmother of five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2001 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.
