MOSELY, MILDRED BURKS Departed this life on June 21, 2006 in Oakland , surrounded by her loving family and cherished friends. She was 80 years old. Born Aug. 7, 1925 inWest Monroe, La. , Mildred moved to Oakland in 1943. She was a nurse inAlamedaCounty for 24 years and was shop steward for the Service Employees International Union Local SEIU 616. Mildred enjoyed sewing, was an avid fan of the Oakland As, loved politics and playing the slot machines at Cache Creek. She is preceded in death by her sons Cecil and Vincent. Mildred is survived by her devoted daughter Faye Drummond ofBethesda, Md. , her brother Eddie Wright of Vallejo , granddaughters Tammerlin Drummond and Khrisean Thomas, both of Oakland , grandson Sean Drummond, great granddaughter Nina Hoener Drummond and cousin Luretha Collins. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services Tuesday June 27th 1:30 pm at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Boulevardin Hayward .in Hayward .
