Miguel M. Luviano's Obituary
Miguel Mares Luviano, or Tata as he was known to his family, passed peacefully on May 8, 2019, at the age of 92, with his family by his side at Washington Hospital in Fremont, CA. He was a resident of Union City. Born March 16, 1927, in Zinaparo, Michoacán Mexico. Miguel is survived by his wife, Felipa, brothers Everardo and Salvador Luviano, his son, Miguel Luviano Jr. his daughters Rosie Savage and Gloria Galarsa, son-in law Leonard Galarsa. He is also survived by 4 granddaughters, Alicia Ortegon, Angel Igano and husband Gale, Lenora Wilson and husband Christopher, Christina Luviano and 4 great-grandchildren Brandon and Christopher Wilson and Vicente and Lyla Igano.The vigil will be held on Sunday May 19, 2019 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, Hayward. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday May 20, 2019 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, in Union City. Interment will take place directly following Mass at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward.Miguel worked as an Operating Engineer from 1967 until his retirement. Before he became physically limited, he was an active member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Union City. His interests included being with family and reading the newspaper with a cup of coffee and a piece of pan dulce in the morning. He loved watching Caso Cerrado with his wife in the evening and making sure everyone around him had everything they needed.Miguel is now reunited in Heaven with his parents Jesus and Josefina, brother Jesus, sister Ramona, and his daughter Josie, and her husband John. They will continue watching over their growing family.He will be forever loved and immensely missed.
