Michelle Denise Connors' Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our beloved and amazing sister, daughter and friend, Michelle Denise Connors of Berkeley, California, who passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023, at the age of 67. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Ellen Connors and stepfather John Connors. John’s Navy career relocated John and Ellen, from Rhode Island to Florida with their two children, John Robert, and Terry Susan Connors. Once in Jacksonville, Diane Elizabeth and Michelle Denise were born.
Again, the Navy transferred the family, this time to Lemoore, CA, Naval Air Station, and within a year to Alameda, CA where Michelle graduated from Encinal High School. She furthered her education by successfully completing the Ron Baillie School of Broadcasting in the early 1980’s.
Michelle is mourned by many who loved her beautiful smile, uplifting spirit, intelligence, and sense of humor. She was a delightful storyteller, a loving sister, daughter, and friend. Michelle loved her family.
She worked part time at the University of California Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for approximately three years and at a doctor’s office in Oakland.
Michelle battled addiction and was in her sobriety at the time of her passing. Her loving and supportive partner for many years, until her hospitalization was Jack Wheeler in Oakland, CA. We thank you Jack for your kindness to Michelle. She was adventurous, loved to laugh and deeply cared about nature and wildlife. She spotted a cat with a flea collar that was choking the cat, then caught the cat with her bare hands, to remove the collar. She was successful but received several scratches from the cat in the process. She was determined to save the cat no matter what. That was Michelle. She also loved her own cat, Molly.
Michelle is survived by her mother, Ellen Connors, her brother John R. Connors (Delores Connors) and sister, Diane E. Connors (Charlie F. Banks); nieces, Sharawn Connors-Tipton (Terrence Tipton), Melissa Connors-Small (Tyman Small) and Summer Connors- Baker (Jesse Baker); great nieces and nephews, Tyman Small Jr, Mylee Small, Mecca Small, Vida Baker and Liam Baker.
She is preceded in death by her stepfather, John Connors Sr, and her sister, Terry Susan Connors.
Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Michelle Denise Connors to show support.
Michelle was loved and will be deeply missed by many.
