Michal Yvonne Cortez, 63, of San Leandro, passed away February 11, 2019.She was born in Oakland CA on March 18, 1955.Michal graduated from Arroyo High School.She was married to Gregory Cortez. Michal had a career in Cosmetology, owning her own business ” The Hair Carousel”.She was a member of the 3 Crosses Neighborhood Church, Castro Valley CA and had a passion for serving others through service to her church.She was survived by her brothers: King Harris and Lance Harris, cousins: Patricia, Debbie, and Deeann Carrillo, sister-in-laws: Maureen Harris, Cathy Harris and Debbie Harris-Tapley, nephews: Edward Harris and Lance Harris Jr. also survived by her mother-in-law Jennie Cortez and her extended Cortez family.Funeral arrangements will be held at 11 am, February 25, 2019, at Chapel of the Chimes-Hayward.
