Michael loved his family and friends dearly and always was there for them. He made others happy all of the time. He was an avid sports fan. He loved music and his Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was a man of pride. Loving father of Shawna L. Smith of Hayward, California, and Samantha L. Smith and Michael C. Smith of Sacramento, California. Dear brother of Mark E. Smith. Devoted grandfather of two grandchildren; Lizset M. Cortez and Victor M. Cortez of Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service Friday, March 29, 2002 at 3:00 PM in the Mission Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home. 'Service of Marked Distinction'
