Michael Moon-Thin Yee's Obituary
Michael Moon-Thin Yee was born on October 4th, 1933 in Guangdong, China to Zhong Chi Ku, who preceded him in death. He was the only child.He moved to Guangzhou in 1949 to attend the Guangdong Overseas Chinese High School, where he met our mother Siu Quan Lee Yee.From 1952 to 1955, he attended Harbin Industrial University and then worked at Harbin Boiler Company from 1955 to 1960. From 1960 to 1976, he worked at Guangzhou Zipper Company as a mechanical draftsman.After immigrating to San Francisco in 1976, he continued t work as a mechanical draftsman until retirement.Michael was smart and hard-working. He was also a dedicated son, husband and father. He was especially a good husband. As many of you know, Michael’s wife was ill for a few years. Michael was especially dedicated in caring for Siu Quan during the years that she was ill, even when he himself was suffering from Parkinson’s. His family will miss him dearly.
