Michael Wayne Costa's Obituary
Mike was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was born in Oakland. Attended San Leandro High School. Mike married Leslie in October of 1979 and welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Rachael, shortly after. They moved from the Bay Area in 2001 to Calaveras County. Mike worked at R & M Transmission in Sutter Creek until retirement. He was a Mr. Fixit all of his life, always finding a way to solve a problem he would attempt to take on. Mike enjoyed fishing, boating, working on vehicles and taking care of their property, which we all know is a never ending task. Spending time with his grandchildren was the highlight of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Leslie, of 42 years. Daughter, Rachael and three grandchildren, Kailie, Ashley and Ryan. His sister Lana Sue Berry of Iowa and family, brother-in-law Jeff and sister-in-law Corinne.
A celebration of life with be held at Rail Road Flat Community Bible Church, 56 Ridge Road, Rail Road Flat, CA, 95248, on Saturday, October 1st, at 12 Noon. Lunch and refreshments after the service.
