Maxine Pearl Ward's Obituary
Maxine Pearl Carter Ward Jan. 20, 1918 – July 16, 2009 Resident of Castro Valley Beloved grandmother of Sherry Ward of Pleasanton & Shelley Ward Cartier of Austin TX; great grandmother of Carter Rankin, and mother-in-law of Gwen Locke of Pleasanton. She was preceded in death by her son Jack Ward. Maxine was a long time resident of San Leandro and Castro Valley where she was a clerk at Romley’s Grocery Store for many years. She recently enjoyed being a part of the Casa Sandoval Community in Hayward. Her passions included her love of animals, the oceanside, great food a cool Margarita and her tweety bird tattoo. Family & friends are invited to call Tuesday July 21, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for visitation and on Wednesday July 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. for a Celebration of Life at the Reflection Chapel of Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544. 510-471-3363.
