Maureen Loya's Obituary
Maureen Loya, a resident of Union City, passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side on January 15, 2017 at the age of 75.Maureen was born in Oakland on November 1, 1941. She was raised in West Oakland and attended Holy Name High School. In 1964 she married Raymond Loya, Jr. and they moved to Union City in 1968 where they raised their family. She had three children and 5 grand-children. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife of 52 years.Maureen is survived by her husband, Raymond (Lem), son James Loya (Ann), daughters Cynthia Wondolleck (Tom) and Valori Gross (Bryan). She loved her grandchildren: Rebekka and Domnick Gross, Antoinette and Jessica Loya, and Dylan Wondolleck. Family and friends are invited to attend her services Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, in the Reflection Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Union City, followed by a committal service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.In lieu of flowers, the family requests you please make a donation in her honor to the Make a Wish Foundation.
