Mary Francis Stranahan's Obituary
Mary Frances Stranahan, a resident of Pleasanton for 10 years, entered into rest in Pleasanton on Sunday, September 15, 2002. She was born in Dallas, TX on April 8, 2002; she was 81 years of age.Mary was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 50 plus years. She was a longtime resident of the Bay Area and a former resident of Hayward and San Leandro. She worked in the auto industry and at St. Rose Hospital for many years.Her loving children, Denise Rhys of Pleasanton, Jerald Putman of Alameda and Duane Rhys of Spokane, WA, survive her. Her son-in-law, Paul Strohl of Pleasanton, will miss her. Her siblings, Jean Worley and James Taylor both of Dallas, TX, survive her.Mary was the caring grandmother of five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 20, 2002 in the Mission Chapel of Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544.
