Mary Alex Shubin's Obituary
Mary Alex Shubin Resident of Fremont Sept. 15, 1917- March 26, 2014 Mary Alex Shubin passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at 96 years of age. She was a strong, proud, humble woman, a devoted widow, and a loving, compassionate Mother. Mary was born Mary Alex Klubniken, in Los Angeles, Ca, the second of 7 children. She stopped her education after the 7th grade to begin working to help support her family. She was devoted to her family and was an outstanding softball player. Mary continued working to help her family until she met and married Joseph Shubin on Feb 8, 1942. Mary was widowed in 2003 after 61 glorious years married to the love of her life. Mary is survived by her children Joseph A Shubin of Roseville Ca, Marilyn J Campo of Fremont Ca, Andrew N Shubin of Vancouver Wa, and Leo A Shubin of Dublin Ca, and has 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her generous, humble, loving spirit will be remembered and missed by all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 4:30-9:00pm and a funeral service on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1:00pm at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, Ca.
