Mary Ellen Pastrone's Obituary
Mary E. Pastrone passed away peacefully at her care home in Livermore on the 29th of January. Mrs. Pastrone was born Mary Ellen Fetters in Gallatin, Missouri 100 years ago, moved to Oakland in 1935 where she met and married her beloved husband Louis Pastrone in 1936, bought a home in 1942 and lived there for 70 years and then to Livermore for 6 years. They were married for 61 years. She was a long time member of the Hillview Baptist Church of Oakland and then the Grace Baptist Church of San Leandro, at both serving in many different capacities, and was dedicated to helping support various missionaries around the world. Mary was a care giver always helping others. She is survived by 2 loving sons, James Pastrone, Pleasanton, Ron Pastrone, Livermore. Mother in law to Kathleen Pastrone of Pleasanton, Yvonne Pastrone of Livermore, devoted grandmother to James Jr. and Howard Pastrone, San Francisco, Brian and Allyson Pastrone of Colorado, Yvette and David Garrison. Livermore and Nacole and Michael DeJong of Washington. 2 great-grandchildren Melissa and Pora Rith and Craig James and Kira Zahara, Sacramento, and 2 great-grandchildren, Willow Rith and Archer Rith. Brother Robert and Lorreane Fetters, 4 nephews Charles Fetters, Richmond Phil Fetters, Missouri, Gary Pastrone, Castro Valley and Bill Puetz, Castro Valley. 2 nieces Juanita Miller and Lillian Moses. Many kind and loving friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Louis Pastrone and son Steven Pastrone. Parents Phillip and Lillian Fetters, sisters Vera Warden, and Ruth Curtis, brothers Ted Fetters, Ralph Fetters, Everett Fetters and Don Fetters. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those wishing to honor Mary please consider making a contribution to the organization of your choice in her name.
