Mary Ellen Hawkins' Obituary
1912 – 2009 Resident of Stockton Mary passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Feb. 23, 2009. She was born in Grandfield, Oklahoma, the daughter of Preston and Rose Miracle. Her father, mother and 12 brothers and sisters, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Clyde, her children Neil, Doug (Tina), Sue (Marlin), Mike (Hilda), Don (Vicki) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a voracious reader with a thirst for knowledge, retaining everything she read. She was a very intelligent woman, willing to share what she knew, making her a person you could thoroughly enjoy conversing with for hours at a time. Her family was always her main focus and she loved having her children around her. The family dinners were so special, and the summers at Grandma and Grandpa’s will always be a cherished memory. In their younger years,she never missed any of the sporting events her children participated in, if it was possible for her to attend. Always encouraging and cheering them on.
