Mary Cacilhas' Obituary
Mary Cacilhas passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2019, with her surviving children, Joyce Miller and Michael Cacilhas by her side. She was 97 years old. Mary was born on April 12, 1921 in New Bedford, MA. She was the widow of Manuel Costa Cacilhas. Mary was the loving mother of Carlos Cacilhas , Dennis Cacilhas, George Cacilhas, Joyce Miller, Michael Cacilhas, stepmother to Gordon Cacilhas, a grandmother, a great grandmother, and a great great grandmother. Mary loved being a mother and a homemaker. She loved to cook and bake. She enjoyed playing bingo, sharing her artistic ability through crochet , playing cards, going out with friends, and being surrounded by children. She had an unconditional love and acceptance for all the people who crossed her path. Visitation will be Monday, 5 PM to 9 PM. Her funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at 11:00 AM, with the burial following at 12:30 PM. Location will be at Mission Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.
