In Loving Memory of Martina Sandoval Lopez, 1935 – 2016Martina was born on February 17, 1935 in La Union de San Antoñio, Jalisco, Mexico, to parents Anselmo Sandoval and Ramona De Anda. She was the seventh of eight children. The family also lived in Jalostotitlán, Jalisco. She is survived by her siblings Elvira Hernandez, Mercedes Jimenez, Maria De Jesus Sandoval de Muñoz, and Carmela Sandoval.Martina married Pablo Lopez Gonzalez on December 26, 1956, and their marriage spanned the next 59 years. Martina gave birth to seven children: Maria De Jesus, Jose Luis, Raquel, Ismael, Salvador, Javier, and Lorena Amparo. Martina and Pablo were also blessed with 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.Faith and family were very important to Martina. She was a member of Sacred Hearth Catholic Church in Patterson, CA. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love and forgiveness towards family, especially at special family get-togethers. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, crochet, embroidery, and prayer readings.Martina leaves behind a lasting legacy as an understanding wife, a caring mother and grandmother, and a light of faith to all who knew her. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
