Martin (Marty) Brouns Oct. 13, 1943 – May 1, 2012 Former Resident of Hayward Martin (Marty) Brouns passed away Tues., May 1st at his home in West Point. Marty was born in the Netherlands and came to the US in 1961. He retired from PG&E in 1995 and established his own construction business. Marty fulfilled his life long dream of building his own home in West Point. Marty is survived by his wife of 30 years, Karen, his six children, their spouses, and eleven grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of the Resurrection to celebrate Marty’s life at St. Bede Church in Hayward, Mon. May 7th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Bede Catholic School.
