So sorry to hear about your passing Marlene. Condolences to the family. I will always remember our times at Mervyn’s while we were checking the statements before sending them out. We always had some good laughs together with you, Joan and Judy. RIP Marlene… party on in heaven 😇
I dedicate this rose to Marlene from my Mother Joan Castelli who cannot do it herself.

This is only a partial tribute to my very best friend that I have ever had in my whole life. We spent so much time together. I lost my sister-in-law of 47 years and best friend. We traveled together, worked on her family tree by doing research in libraries and archives and visiting deserted bone yards in Kaui. We went on many driving adventures during the years, went on annual bingo trips and even all night marathons. We laughed together until we hurt, cried together until we had no more tears, consoled each other during rough times, lived together during a life changing event in my life, and even worked at the FAA together toward the end of my career. Even after I retired and moved out of the area, we still remained best friends. I would go down to the bay area and stay at her house for a week once a year and sometimes more depending on what was going on in our lives at the time. She was a great Matron of Honor for my wedding in 2004, who even handmade my bridal veil. So many people thought we were real sisters, not sister-in-laws. She used to say we were book ends. We had a few disagreements through the years, but we would always apologize to each other. We had so much fun together throughout the years. I will help Eddie and your family in any way that I can, but I know they are strong people and probably won’t need my help as you taught them well. Marlene Silva I love you so much. We all miss you so much already. Say “Hi” to everyone for me and give Joanie my love and please take care of Muffin. LOVE YOU!!!!!!
(You) Marlene, I miss you and love with all my heart… you were my world, and one day i will be by your side again. we had a wonderful life together raised our 3 daughters and watched our 4 grandchildren grown up into adults, and had the privilege to watch and take care of our great grandson Kaleo (even thou we had to remember how to change diapers again). I will miss our annual trips to Hawai’i together, along with our Carson City weekends too. i will love you forever and always Love Me (your husband)
