Chapel Of The Chimes Hayward
Its been over 40 years ago, the summer of 1968, but it seems like it was just yesterday we were all standing under those big cottonwood trees outside your home in Holly, talking and hanging out. Your family had just moved to our neighborhood from Lockney, Texas. I remember drinking iced tea your mother Jean had just made on a hot summers day, playing the game of Life on the living room floor of your familys home, riding in the back of your dads pickup truck to check out the fields at Sunview Farms, hanging out at your house watching as you intently listened to the radio as songs were played, just so you could write down the lyrics and be able to sing those songs with confidence and clarity. The memories of that summer will forever be engrained in my mind. With that I turn to this last summer here at our home. We were blessed with seeing you one last time, even if it were for just a few hours, even though we did not know it would be that last time. Hearing your voice, seeing your smile, experiencing your unique personality, it brought back all the happy memories of my past. We talked about our families, our lives and you shared with us your joys. I am thankful for having had that last opportunity. Im sorry for David, your children, your sisters and your friends, for I know each is going to miss you dearly. Our hearts ache for them and may Gods comfort be with them. In short, we were blessed with your presence and now we will be blessed with our memories of you. Thank you for touching our lives and bringing so much happiness and cheer into this world.##imported-begin##Robert Casteel##imported-end##
