Marjorie Anne McCauley's Obituary
Marjorie Ann (Quigg) McCauley, 73, having enjoyed a happy and fulfilling life, passed peacefully at home with loving family present, on January 5, 2023, from the disabling effects of Alzheimer's disease. > Beloved oldest daughter and "Right Arm" of William and Helen Quigg, Margie grew up in Boston and Brant Rock, Massachusetts. She is survived by her best friend and husband of 52 years, Alan McCauley; their two cherished daughters, Kristie McCauley Darin (Sam) and Katy McCauley; four loving and adoring grandchildren - Samantha Darin, Mac Darin, Julia Darin, and Brody Darin; her two forever-in-her-heart sisters, Kathy Kerrigan and Helene Devlin, and her treasured younger brother, Billy Quigg. > Above all, Margie was devoted to her family, always close at heart and sharing vacations virtually every year. She was a lifelong teacher, first at Montessori pre-school and later in public elementary schools. She took pride in ensuring every student left her class feeling loved and valued. > Margie was a bundle of energy and kindness. She enjoyed all sorts of sporting activities: tennis, racquetball, soccer, dance, Pilates, yoga, but always found time for shopping. Mostly, she enjoyed fun - fun parties, fun friends, fun places. Her favorite place was at the beach anywhere, but especially Blue Fish Cove. Margie approached life with a smile, with grace, and with style. Rest in Peace, our beautiful Margie.
