Marjorie J. Garner Lyons BergEntered into rest in San Leandro on October 3, 2003, age 78. Marjorie was born in Hollister, Ca. on October 26, 1924. Beloved daughter of the late Hugh V. & Frances Beryl Garner of Hollister. Loving sister of Phillip B. Garner of Sun City West, Az. and the late Donald H. Garner of Scottsdale, Az. Survived by her daughter Linda J. Lyons Shaw and her husband Wayne of Moss Point, MS and son Robert 'Bob' E. Lyons and his wife Pat of Ft. Worth, Tx. Six grandchildren, one great grand daughter and several nieces and nephews. Preceeded in death by husbands Peter E. Lyons, USN of ten years and William 'Bill' Berg of 37 years. Marjorie lived in the Bay Area since 1954. Retired from the San Lorenzo Unified School District after 23 years, after which she was a Member of the the San Lorenzo Unified School District Personnel Commission retiring from that position August 1997. She enjoyed traveling, bingo, bowling, doing various hand-crafts and being with family and friends. Contributions in her memory can be made to the San Lorenzo Unified School District. Scholarship Fund or your favorite charity. Friends may attend Visitation on Tuesday October 7, 2003 from 5 ' 8:30 p.m. in a visitation room. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Mission Chapel on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward. Interment will follow.
