Marilyn Bennett a San Lorenzo, California resident entered into rest Thursday, August 22, 2002 in San Lorenzo. Born in Mossville, AR on June 7, 1927, she was 75 years of age. Marilyn was a proud and loving mother and grandmother. She was always putting the needs of others before her own. She was known as a great cook and a master gardener. She and her husband, Alfred leaves behind a legacy to their children the value of hard work and overcoming obstacles. Loving mother of Debra Bennett & husband Marcus Cheatham of Haslett, MI, Pam Bennett of San Lorenzo, Mary Bennett of El Cerrito and Mark & wife Corinne Bennett of Modesto. Dear sister of Modena & husband Jim Stevens of Oklahoma, Betty Lou & husband Dave Liggett of Arkansas, Effie & husband Stanley Gilmore of Arkansas and Jim & wife Marilyn Edgmon of Arkansas. Devoted grandmother of six grandchildren. Her husband of 34 years, Alfred Bennett preceded her in death.Visitation will be held Sunday, August 25, 2002 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. A private Graveside service will be held for the family at a later date.
